FAITH FORMATION
Our classes will resume this week, and will continue until our last class on JUNE 19th. All First Communion students should return to their regular classes.
We are forming a KICKBALL TEAM for students grades 7-12. It is a league with parishes around the county that play scheduled games starting on WEDNESDAY JULY 6TH, and will run for the next five Wednesdays. If you think you can make some of the games we would love to have you! While it is always fun to win, the emphasis is on having fun, and everyone having the opportunity to participate. If your child would like to play, or you have questions, email Andy at afollaco@dor.org. If you are interested in coaching, which will require no more than showing up to games and rotating kids in and out, please email Andy by May 22nd
We are looking into having a Seabreeze Day for our community! We are aiming for the last week in June. Price of a ticket should be under $20 for a Ride and Slide Pass. More information will be in the bulletin in the coming weeks!

HELPING OUR NEIGHBORS IN NEED
Each Sunday throughout the year, SKT-LMC collects donations of non-perishable food items for local food cupboards, for the purpose of alleviating hunger caused by poverty in our area. The need is very real, even though we may not “see” it close-up. Donations may be placed in the green baskets in each of the church vestibules.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF VOLUNTEERS to help maintain our facilities, especially in the area of church and parish center cleaning. We need YOU! Please email dflanigen@yahoo.com or call 467-8747. Enough volunteers will enable us to have rotating teams.
CHURCH ETIQUETTE
WHEN YOU COME TO CHURCH, please turn OFF all cell phones, hand-held electronic devices, pagers, watch alarms, etc. ALSO, remember to dress appropriately (neatly and modestly). Unfortunately, in many churches today, people tend to “dress down” for Mass. How can this be??? RESPECT and REVERENCE toward God and neighbor (i.e. charity) should determine how we present ourselves in the House of God. Thank you, in advance, for your courtesy and cooperation.
THERE ARE (AT LEAST) THREE REASONS to maintain a prayerful, quiet atmosphere in the church proper before and after services: (1) RESPECT for the House of God, (2) REVERENCE for the Blessed Sacrament, and (3) REGARD for those who want to pray in peace. The guiding principle should be DEVOTION NOT COMMOTION. Please carry on your friendly conversations in the church vestibules (with inside doors closed), outside, or at the coffee hours. Reverence and friendliness can and should co-exist—in their proper settings!!
PRAYING FOR THE SICK AND INFIRM
Judy Burns has volunteered to coordinate the SKT-LMC bulletin listing of sick and infirm members, relatives, and friends. The list will be there so that we might pray for them. Please note that NO health information will be printed in this bulletin. Judy will coordinate the names: long-term? Short-term? When to take off list? etc. To put names on the list, contact Judy Burns at (cell) 585-738-5156 OR (e-mail) burnsie320 @yahoo.com.

May the Divine Physician of our souls and bodies help and heal them, through His Divine Mercy.
ON THIS GLORIOUS PENTECOST DAY, we congratulate Rory Zimmer on his reception of the Sacraments of Confirmation and First Holy Communion at the nine o’clock Mass. His chosen Confirmation name is Joseph and his sponsor is Molly Hickey.
We also congratulate the six high-schoolers who are being confirmed at the eleven-fifteen o’clock Mass in the Extraordinary (Traditional) Form by Father Bonsignore (who has been properly delegated to confer the Sacrament today by Bishop Matano). Their names, Confirmation names, and sponsors are as follows:
JOSEPH (PETER) BASILE – WILLIAM BASILE
ALEXANDRIA (CATHERINE) LA PIETRA – MATTHEW LAPIETRA
JACOB (JOSEPH) LAPIETRA – PHILIP LAPIETRA
CORA MARIA (JACINTA) LONG – MARY GRACE LONG
ROSA MYSTICA (BRIDGET) LONG – REGINA LONG
AMATA (FAITH) VALENTINI – CARLA RUMBLE
May the Holy Spirit of God bestow upon them all His manifold, heavenly gifts, so that they will always be strong and perfect Christians, true soldiers of Christ.
ALSO ON THIS PENTECOSTAL CELEBRATION, we congratulate Father Paul English, his priest-assistants, and all the members of St. Kateri Parish on the observance of the parish’s fifth birthday year.
DIOCESAN NOTICES
You are invited to attend two special Year of Mercy Masses in June 2016 at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 296 Flower City Park, Rochester.
June 3, 2016 at 6:30 pm: First Friday Mass/Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus (patronal feast of the Cathedral, with a special intention for the men who will be ordained priests the following morning), followed by Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and individual Confessions until 8 p.m. Bishop Salvatore R. Matano will preside.
June 22, 2016: 6:30 pm: The Feast of Saint John Fisher, the patron saint of the Diocese of Rochester, with Mass seeking his continued intercession for our Diocese. Bishop Matano will preside.
Pope Francis has declared that passing through the Holy Door of Mercy, located in our Diocese at the inside center entrance of the Cathedral, will offer the possibility of obtaining a Plenary Indulgence, a remission of the temporal punishment due to sins, by participating in the Sacraments of Confession and Holy Eucharist, praying for the Holy Father’s personal intentions, and praying the Profession of Faith (the Creed).
For more information and a complete schedule of the special Masses at the Cathedral, visit www.dor.org
SECOND COLLECTION TODAY, taken up for the Diocesan Missions (Propagation of the Faith). Please contribute. Checks should be written to St. Kateri Parish because the parish handles these funds for us and transfers them to the Diocesan office for distribution.
GOD BLESS ALL OUR PRIESTS, especially those close to us. And may He sustain in health and grace Father Thomas Wheeland (pastor of neighboring Holy Cross Church and Father Roman Caly (pastor of St. Stanislaus Church, former home of the Latin Mass Community). Father Wheeland celebrates this year his 50th Anniversary of Ordination, and Father Caly his 25th. A special celebration with Bishop Matano will be taking place this week at our Cathedral Church.
BANNS OF MARRIAGE JOHN FOLLACO – RACHEL DeWITT (First notice)
SCRIPTURE STUDY
Scripture Study of Gospels from the Latin Mass will not be
meeting in May due to other scheduling conflicts. Scripture study is expected to resume on June 26th.
COFFEE HOURS
Coffee Hours and Celebrations
Today, May 15th, is Pentecost and we will be enjoying a coffee hour and celebration after each Mass. The coffee hour after the 9AM Mass will recognize Rory Zimmer’s reception into the Catholic Church through reception of the Sacraments of Confirmation and Holy Eucharist. The coffee hour after the 11:15AM Mass will recognize those who have just received the Sacrament of Confirmation in the Traditional Rite. Please join us in celebration! Next Sunday, May 22nd, there will be a coffee hour after each Mass, with special attention after the 11:15AM Mass to the joyful marking of Father Bonsignore’s 35th Anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood (officially on May 23rd). Come offer your congratulations to our Chaplain!
