FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Why is the diocese conducting a census?

To gather precise and current data on all registered parishioners, to strengthen pastoral care, stewardship, and communication efforts.

2. Do I still need to complete the census if my contact information has not changed?

Yes. Everyone is asked to participate in the census to ensure our database is up-to-date and accurate.

3. How will my information be utilized or managed?

All information provided will be handled with the utmost confidentiality. The data collected will be used solely for pastoral,
stewardship, and communication purposes.

4. Who is considered as part of my household?

Each Household is being asked to complete a census form. A Household in the Diocese of Rochester is the individual/group of individuals living at the same address and receiving the Catholic Courier. Exceptions include multiple adults living at the same address (e.g. adult children living with parents or senior parents living with adult children).

5. I have already completed the census form online, do I still need to fill out an in-pew census card?

Yes. There is a place on the census card to indicate that you have already completed the form online.
