HOW TO CONTRIBUTE Since our Community here at St. Thomas’ is not a legal entity, we need to have our finances run through the books of St. Kateri Parish. Therefore, checks should be made payable to “St. Kateri Tekakwitha-Latin Mass Community” OR for short, “SKT-LMC”. Contributions can be placed in the blue envelopes OR loose in the collection baskets. Contributions deposited in envelopes from neighboring parishes will be returned to those home parishes and will not be credited to SKT-LMC. SKT-LMC envelopes deposited in neighboring parish collections will be returned and credited to us.
SECOND COLLECTION TODAY
Today, at Bishop Matano’s request, we are taking up a SECOND COLLECTION to help aid the victims of the April 25 earthquake in Nepal. All proceeds collected will be sent to Catholic Relief Services, which is helping to provide emergency services and long-term recovery efforts. Please participate. If you choose to write a check, make it out to St. Kateri Parish with “NEPAL” in the memo field. Those wishing to contribute directly to CRS, may do so at www.crs.org.
IF YOU HAVE FOUND A SPIRITUAL HOME in our Latin Mass Community here at St. Thomas’, please consider registering with us. Use the census forms found at the entrance door tables. On the top write in clear letters “LMC”. Place form in the collection basket. Welcome!
THANK YOU to those VOLUNTEERS who came out to work at our outdoor SPRING CLEAN-UP day last Saturday. The weather was favorable and the church grounds look very neat. Good job!
TODAY WE WELCOME FATHER PETER MOTTOLA as celebrant of the 11:15 Mass. He has helped us in the past, but now he is leaving for a while to take up full-time studies in Canon Law at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. He anticipates finishing the degree in the summer of 2016 and subsequently returning to our Diocese (when, hopefully, he will be of further assistance to us here!). We will keep him in our prayers.
ORGAN CONCERT tomorrow evening, May 11, by our expert organist, John Morabito. To be performed on the brand-new Allen organ at Monroe Community Hospital AUDITORIUM, at 7 PM. All are welcome to attend.
HOLYDAY of OBLIGATION THIS WEEK on Ascension Thursday, May 14. LATIN MASS at 12 NOON, and ENGLISH MASS at 5:30 P.M. Conscientious Catholics do not lightly excuse themselves from participation in Mass on days of OBLIGATION.
