MAY CROWNING TODAY
On this Trinity Sunday in the month of the Blessed Mother, we shall have a brief ceremony of crowning Our Lady’s statue at the beginning of both Masses. In so doing, we are acknowledging Our Lady’s ROYAL SOVEREIGNTY over us as QUEEN of our hearts, our families, and our Community.
As part of the simple ceremony, the Priest-Celebrant will lead us in a LITANY in praise of the BLESSED TRINITY and the BLESSED MOTHER. Composed by St. Joseph Calasanctius (+1648), this litany is called “The Crown of Twelve Stars.” During it, three times the congregation will be encouraged to participate by reciting together the Glory be and the Hail Mary. After the crowning, ALL will pray together the Hail, Holy Queen.
TODAY’S HOLY MASSES are offered for these intentions:
9:00 AM For John and Vivian Dooley + (req. by Family)

FAITH FORMATION
Our classes will resume this week, and will continue until our last class on JUNE 19. All First Communion students should return to their regular classes.
We are forming a KICKBALL TEAM for students grades 7-12. It is a league with parishes around the county that play scheduled games starting on WEDNESDAY JULY 6, and will run for the next five Wednesdays. If you think you can make some of the games we would love to have you! While it is always fun to win, the emphasis is on having fun, and everyone having the opportunity to participate. If your child would like to play, or you have questions, email Andy at afollaco@dor.org. If you are interested in coaching, which will require no more than showing up to games and rotating kids in and out, please email Andy by May 22.
We are looking into having a SEABREEZE DAY for our community! We are aiming for the last week in June. Price of a ticket should be under $20 for a Ride and Slide Pass. More information will be in the bulletin in the coming weeks!

HELPING OUR NEIGHBORS IN NEED
Each Sunday throughout the year, SKT-LMC collects donations of non-perishable food items for local food cupboards, for the purpose of alleviating hunger caused by poverty in our area. The need is very real, even though we may not “see” it close-up. Donations may be placed in the green baskets in each of the church vestibules.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF VOLUNTEERS to help maintain our facilities, especially in the area of church and parish center cleaning. We need YOU! Please email dflanigen@yahoo.com or call 467-8747. Enough volunteers will enable us to have rotating teams.
CHURCH ETIQUETTE
WHEN YOU COME TO CHURCH, please turn OFF all cell phones, hand-held electronic devices, pagers, watch alarms, etc. ALSO, remember to dress appropriately (neatly and modestly). Unfortunately, in many churches today, people tend to “dress down” for Mass. How can this be??? RESPECT and REVERENCE toward God and neighbor (i.e. charity) should determine how we present ourselves in the House of God. Thank you, in advance, for your courtesy and cooperation.
THERE ARE (AT LEAST) THREE REASONS to maintain a prayerful, quiet atmosphere in the church proper before and after services: (1) RESPECT for the House of God, (2) REVERENCE for the Blessed Sacrament, and (3) REGARD for those who want to pray in peace. The guiding principle should be DEVOTION NOT COMMOTION. Please carry on your friendly conversations in the church vestibules (with inside doors closed), outside, or at the coffee hours. Reverence and friendliness can and should co-exist—in their proper settings!!
PRAYING FOR THE SICK AND INFIRM
Judy Burns has volunteered to coordinate the SKT-LMC bulletin listing of sick and infirm members, relatives, and friends. The list will be there so that we might pray for them. Please note that NO health information will be printed in this bulletin. Judy will coordinate the names: long-term? Short-term? When to take off list? etc. To put names on the list, contact Judy Burns at (cell) 585-738-5156 OR (e-mail) burnsie320@yahoo.com.
PRAYER LIST Angela DeLuca Peter Calviera Jim Holden Florian & Veronica Czerniak Sharon Mooney Mary Sanders Jeanne Bleier Bill Schlueter Jeanette Clark Rocco Deluca Gregory Griswald Jim Burke May the Divine Physician of our souls and bodies help and heal them, through His Divine Mercy.
WE ARE IN THE AFTER-GLOW of Pentecost Sunday, still thanking God for the gifts of His Holy Spirit poured out, through Confirmation, upon Rory Zimmer, Joseph Basile, Alexandria and Jacob LaPietra, Cora Maria and Rosa Mystica Long, and Amata Valentini. THANK YOU to everyone who helped make the day so special, so glorious, especially: our candidates’ parents and teachers, our organist and singers, and John Maurer, who did the photographic work at both Masses. Bishop Matano will be receiving a sampling of the photos, not only of our Confirmation Day, but also of our First Holy Communion Day. The pictures (“saying more than a thousand words”) will bring joy to his pastoral heart!
DIOCESAN NOTICES
