DAILY ROSARY Did you know the Rosary is prayed in the church Monday through Friday at 8:15 a.m. and 6 p.m. and on Saturday at 8:45 a.m.? Come join us anytime.
WE DO NEED VOLUNTEERS to help maintain our facilities, especially in the area of church and parish center cleaning. We need YOU! Please email dflanigen@yahoo.com or call 467-8747. Enough volunteers will enable us to have rotating teams.

Hours of adoration are on Mondays through Fridays from 9 AM to 10 PM (11 PM on Tuesday and Friday). WE NEED MORE ADORERS TO MAKE SURE THAT EVERY HOUR IS COVERED. Please consider signing up for an hour or being on the substitute list. See the posters at the church entrances. Contact Marie O’Leary at 467-1982.

CASE TRAINING The Diocese of Rochester requires volunteers who work with children, youth or vulnerable adults to participate in Creating a Safe Environment (CASE) training. If you plan to volunteer for a ministry that involves working with children, youth or vulnerable adults, you will need to take the class on-line from your home computer or attend a training session. Please call or email Kathy Beauchamp at 484-1810 or email lmcommunity3@gmail.com for further instructions.
WHEN YOU COME TO CHURCH, please turn OFF all cell phones, hand-held electronic devices, pagers, watch alarms, etc. ALSO, remember to dress appropriately (neatly and modestly). Unfortunately, in many churches today, people tend to “dress down” for Mass. How can this be??? RESPECT and REVERENCE toward God and neighbor (i.e. charity) should determine how we present ourselves in the House of God. Thank you, in advance, for your courtesy and cooperation.

THE LAY DOMINICANS –Are you interested in becoming a Lay Dominican? Did you know St. Catherine of Siena and St. Rose of Lima were Lay Dominicans? Members of the Fraternities of St. Dominic are lay men and women who are fully incorporated members of the Order of Preachers and live out their Dominican vocation in the world. Through the Four Pillars of prayer, study, community, and apostolate, we work to preach the Gospel and grow in personal holiness.
A local group has been meeting monthly, praying the Rosary, the Hours, and studying Magisterial documents. We are looking for other people who are interested in joining us. Our meetings are held monthly on the second Sunday of the month from 3-5 at St. Thomas More Church on East Avenue. For more information please see http://rochester.laydominicans.org or contact Mary Anderson: marymattie@yahoo.com or 377-2672.
SAINT SALOME CHURCH, effective today, is relegated “from sacred to profane, but not sordid use”, as announced by Bishop Salvatore Matano on January 13, 2016. His official DECREE was read last Sunday from all the pulpits in St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish (including our own). If you wish to read the actual DECREE, copies have been posted on the bulletin boards in all three of our church vestibules.
IN YOUR PRAYERS for the departed, please include the soul of Donald Piermont, of Fairlawn, New Jersey, who died on January 19. He was the maternal grandfather of John Gillenson, one of our altar servers. Requiescat in pace.
NEXT SUNDAY January 31, the 9 AM will be a CHOIR MASS and the 11:15 AM will be a HIGH MASS. Immediately after BOTH MASSES, the St. Blaise Blessing of Throats will be given individually at the altar rail. His feast is February 3.
TODAY: COFFEE HOUR after the 9 AM Mass only.
